I Love Bello Shire incl. a great list of events in this very active community.

Bello refers to Bellingen, a much loved town in the Northern Rivers District..It's a town that respects it's history, but also appreciates the present. It's also the town where I started High School, having travelled across to there in a bus from the seaside. There is wonderful community spirit in the town and surrounding areas...those who prefer  traditional lifestyles live happily beside those who prefer alternate.  There are wonderful craft shops, lots of cafes and coffee shops, the wonderful and aged Hammond and Wheatley store.. lovingly cared for and given new life by the current owners. Quite a number of lovely churches...in one of which a number of my family were married. My grandparents owned a cafe there many years ago, even before my Dad was born. Two of his siblings were born in the residence upstairs..bringing the family to three. Those that followed were born in Aberdeen, NSW. So you can see, just a few reasons why I love Bello shire...even though I never lived in Bellingen, but in a local seaside village.
