ReplyDelete1. What is the earliest Christmas gift you remember?
A doll called Miss CleverSticks. She was nearly as tall as me, had short brown curly hair and could walk & talk. There were little plastic records, red ,green & orange, that you put in her back for her to sing/talk
2. Your favourite Christmas memory is ...?
Coming down to find Santa had left a FisherPrice village for me and the garage for my sister.
Also, more recent years preparing Christmas dinner with my sister.
3. Do you bake anything special for Christmas?
Usually I bake the puddings and cake well in advance and ‘feed’ them their whiskey/brandy weekly. Nearer the time I prepare my special Christmas ham, which is boiled & baked. I also make plenty of cranberry sauce to give to friends & family.
4. Where do you usually spend Christmas Day?
At home, with my family - my parents, sisters & their partners come to my house as I have the largest kitchen table. I also love cooking the dinner - especially when my youngest sister helps with the veg preparation.
5. if you could have just one Christmas Wish, what would it be?
Good health for all my family & friends? Finding family and ancestors? Excellent adventures in 2014? I’m not sure what the one wish would be…
1. Earliest Christmas gift I can remember is a Barbie and Ken dolls complete with some sort of house.
ReplyDelete2. My favorite Christmas memory is traveling to Chicago and spending Christmas with all of my family. We ended up marching down the street in the snow playing "When the Saints Come Marching In" on kazoo's.
3. Normally Christmas ham with all the trimming which must include mashed potatoes.
4. Christmas day is normally spent at my house. My Mom would come over and we would have breakfast, open presents and watch football.
5. My one wish would be to have my Mom with me.
Thank you for commenting and sharing your memories. How I would have loved to have been part of that procession marching down the street playing a kazoo...
