from my blogs ...
Thanks for including me, Chris! I loved the bootlegging nun story, and also how not to ask directions in Ireland! My daughter lived in a small town in West Texas for about 7 years -- one of the famous directions she got when she lived there was, "You go past where the hospital used to be..." Maybe the direction-giver was Irish!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome... I learn something new every timeI read your blogs... Glad I could return the favour. I keep smiling every time I think of the bootlegging Nun.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad asked directions in Ireland and that has kept us amused for years, not that the Aussies are much better. Dad was told to "go down to the end of the road till you can go no more and turn left, but ye better go back a bit as there be no turns there"...
