Queensland State Archives facility closed due to lockdown
* Now will remain closed until 9am Monday 9 August
During this time, we will not be able to provide copies of records. However, we can still help with research, so please send your enquiries through to firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: ArchivesSearch will be undergoing maintenance from 5.00pm Friday 6 August and will be unavailable until 1.00pm Sunday 8 August. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Other services such as Flickr and Q-Album will continue to be available.
During the lockdown period you can still search the collection through ArchivesSearch, enjoy images and snippets of Queensland history on Facebook and Instagram, and we have many great archival videos on Youtube. You may also enjoy our latest online album that showcases over 900 digitised glass plate negatives from the wonderful Queensland Rail Heritage Collection.
NOTE: it's worth subscribing to the QSA newsletter... there is always lots to learn. The latest one has lots of news including...
#Last month Rose Barrowcliffe, the inaugural First Nations Archives Advisor, commenced at QSA.
The seminar will focus on:
- legislation including an introduction to assisted immigration records
- types of passage, and immigrant
- immigration records and resources at Queensland State Archives.
