Greetings from St Matthew's Windsor.

For those of you coming, the wardens will not have the church open Thursday 12 and Friday 13 October. This was conveyed to me today and I apologise to any who were coming early to view the church.  The Graveyard may be wandered at will.
Copies of the church registers are available at the Library (George St Windsor) in the block adjacent to Windsor Public School.  The local studies section is reasonably extensive and if you are looking for info, it is probably worth your time to have a look.
Significant graves and known First Fleeters have been marked with pink surveyors tape to assist you.
St Matthew's will be selling copies of its history.  There are still a few of the limited edition hard cover.  These are signed by the authors.  Cost is $50.00.  Soft cover is also available for $30.00.  St Matthew's does not have any credit / debit card facilities, so it has to be cash.  Please try to bring smaller denominations.  The Rotary sausage Sizzle is cash as is the Devonshire teas, but the food trucks may have card facilities.
The art exhibitions are opening at 6.00pm (in the Gallery) and 7.00pm for the Church on the Hill in the Stan Stevens Room (same level as the Library).  If you are around, please consider attending the openings; it is always nice to have an audience and I suspect there will be light refreshments available. Don't forget to visit the Museum (Baker St) as well.
A reminder to bring a chair or rug to sit on if you are attending the Big Birthday Bash in the Park on Saturday 14.  If you are coming to the Sunday Commemorative service, the overflow from the service will be the church grounds with external speakers.  Bring your chair.  You can sit on the columbarium walls if you wish but they do have lots of ants scurrying around on them and you may end up with ants in your pants.
Thank you to you all for your enquiries over the past months; I hope I have been able to answer them adequately.  For those unable to attend the Bicentenary of the Laying of the Foundation Stone, the next big do will be Dec 2022 for the Bicentenary of the Consecration.  Maybe we can see you there!.
Regards
Helen
